A little less babble, a little more tattle.

HEYOOOO!!! Paola's in the house!!! Can I get an OWA OWA!!!

Ok stop... note to self: try to be less cringey. Got it. Moving swiftly along...

Today I will legitimately try to not right as much. I just get so carried away with myself and I start babbling like there'd be no tomorrow and I have to just vomit out every single thought that's living rent-free in my brain. But that's not the case because we will have tomorrow, and we will certainly have many more blog posts... so from now on I'll try my best to space out my babbling in a progressive manner that might be a bit less annoying. Thoughts? Yes. I completely agree. Glad we're on the same page... but one thing you should know about me is that I'm really good at breaking the promises that should be broken.  I failed. I'm babbling. UGH JUST LET ME BABBLE!

On a more serious note... COPYRIGHT! Now what is it exactly? Well to put it simple it's kind of like this permission slip that safeguards people's work and allows you to use it if you'd like. For example... music! I were to post an adorable montage of myself on YouTube with a One Direction Song playing in the background... it'd be taken down because I don't have the rights to that song, I don't have a permission slip! Unless Harry Styles were to single-handedly tell me I could use it (which is never bound to happen not even in a different universe), ya can't take what's not yours to take! Fair use on the other hand is like a makeshift permission slip! It's like if I were to accidentally lose a bathroom pass at school (which has happened to me plenty of times might I add) and you had to scurry and make another one, and the teacher would know you did, but she'd still accept it because it won't do no harm! If I were a teacher honestly I'd just stick to original work... it's awesome to feel heavily inspired by artists to the point where you'd want to almost follow into their footsteps and be just like them... but you also need to grow on your own and find yourself as an individual that will allow you to create work that seems similar to those of others... there's only one Harry Styles in this world... nobody else can be him!

Cyberbullying jeez... such a touchy subject, but then again, not touched upon enough. To say the least it is incredibly dangerous and harmful. The internet is such a privilege, but if put into the wrong hands, it could be so misused. I think I'm quite old school, and I'd like to think I'd be a more kind of hands-on, present, no technology teacher, but there are times where it is required... and in my classroom at least, I'd implement specific rules for the HOMEWORK ONLY apps we'd use... such as Edmodo etc. As for Decreased productivity, from a straight- A student's perspective who feels like she's been out of it for an entire year, thanks to be good friend Corona... I think it's important to make a class feel fun, interact with your students, joke a little in class, but teach them well, allude things in class to things in life that will worth be remembering, give anecdotes, be fun! I wouldn't sit there and read out of a book the whole class and give my students I five-page essay assignment on what I discussed on in class. I'd encourage them to listen because my class would be fun! I'd give fun pop quizzes! Etc!

I have to be as quick as possible because I have a lot to do and little time left aghhh! Honestly the newsletter project helped me adapt to Word a lot more even though I already thought I was which is funny... I learned how to use tools that I never even knew how to use or never even touched in my many years of using it. I had never used columns before... THAT IS CRAZY!!! It definitely was a great project to further fortify my skills in Word as it is a tool I use everyday and will be using even more often! And the project was fun! Yay!

OK BYE!!

What the heck is a quaranTEEN?!

Hello there! My name is Paola and I'm a quaranTEEN, unfortunately. "A quaranTEEN?" you may ask... yes, precisely. It's pretty self-explanatory, unless you've been living under a rock for the past 10 months. I'm nineteen years old, and just when my life was about to get started... Covid decided to ruin most of everything we loved or were looking forward to... for me it was seeing Harry Styles in concert, prom night, graduation... OH and ummm going to college perhaps? Yes, I've been stuck at home this whole time, and I have yet to actually go to Florida State and be on-campus for more than a day. It really does suck but... what can ya do! The first and last time I visited FSU was for my dance audition, which obviously went well because... here I am! And if you're wondering why in the world a dance major is taking a computer class... well long story short, I'm not a dance major anymore! Covid kind of ruined that too for me, but it's okay because I

Techy things!

^Class Website  Hey there! We're back and better than ever! Blog journal #7 let's jump right right into it shall we :D So for classroom websites I found a pretty neat one that seems to be a great example of a website I'd find exemplary to have as a teacher in the future! Here it is! The website displays an assortment of awesome things and learning tools that are organized for easy access to students and/or parents! On the website you can find, weekly newsletters, student learning bloggings, fun activities and challenges, special events/important info to keep up with, research resources, assignments, books to explore, designated topics for each day of the week... ex: Monday Readings, Wednesday Math, Quick-write Fridays etc. The website is so easy to navigate and I love how engaging it is by promoting these fun learning interactions like math and reading challenges! The student blog posts are also a huge plus because every student has their own and the parents of said studen
